The Bridge on the Drina

Egnsteatret Undergrunden

The bridge over Drina was built in the 16th century as part of a trade route between the Orient, Serbia and Central Europe. It was as though the very meaning of the bridge became its immutability while everything else was raging around in an ethnic and religious cauldron. The tragic but also peculiar tales are linked together by songs from Mikis Theodorakis and traditional Balkan songs.
