The Society of Lost Souls

Det Kongelige Teater

A CPH STAGE HIGHLIGHT
Why? “The remarkable Norwegian choreographer Jo Strømgren challenges our usual perceptions of ballet. Working with CORPUS, the Royal Danish Ballet experimental lab, he brings raw, physical theatre into the world of ballet, playing with form, genre and idiom. A combination that cannot fail to fascinate!

Description

Corpus is proud to present a brand new performance by the brilliant Jo Strømgren!

Apart from the content of horror movies and religious depictions of the afterlife, we know very little about parallel realities. Are they as organized as our own world? Are the inhabitants as confused as we are? Moreover, what problems – if any – arise from the multicultural nature of the afterlife? With The Society of Lost Souls Jo Strømgren finally provides the answer to the big question: What happens when life ends? Stephen Hawking, Pope Francis, Dalai Lama and the descendants of Albert Einstein have already been invited but of course, the Danish audience will also be able to witness the historic event.
