The emerging choreographers Simone Wierød and Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold unfold their dance art in different ways. Albeit they share an intensity in expression and exploration of space. In AXIAL FIGURES Simone Wierød shapes her choreographies in a meeting between aesthetic surfaces and moving bodies in a scenography of aerial ropes. Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold establishes a space where the dancing body is intertwined with an intense self-observation of the flesh in GRÅTT – exploring the shape and movement of a body in a state of stress. What kind of strategies do they use to shape and ignite movement in space? Why do they choose these strategies? The discussion will also delve into new strategies in dance.

In the discussion: Simone Wierød, Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold, Runa Norheim (RAS – Regional Arena for Contemporary Dance – NO), Ricarda Ciontos (Nordwind festival – DE)
