2020 – DeLeón Company // OCEAN OF OUR MOTION (dance)
Ocean of Our Motion by DeLeónCompany is a raw physical performance which invites the audience into a universe where organic movement, sound and light melt together. This piece deals with the sensation of getting lost in chaos and in the silence, which is created within oneself. Through the organic movement language of DeLeónCompany’s four dancers, Ocean of Our Motion aims to introduce a world where the viewer is emerged in atmospheres and sensations. Layers of images, rhythm, and physicality drive this piece to present a continuous flow, which aspires a reflective state. A state aiming for continuous self-exploration, even after the performance.
Length: 45 min
DeLeónCompany is a Copenhagen based contemporary dance company, founded in 2013 by choreographer Jens Schyth Brøndum.
DeLeónCompany works from an intuitive need of moving based on very physical improvisation techniques. DeLeón´s pieces are presenting the body in an always moving dynamic form, that invites the audience into a collected poetic universe of physicality in close relation to the soundscape and light. The company consists of the artistic director Jens Schyth Brøndum, the creative producer and the dancer Stina Strange Thue Tobiasen.
