The background of the curation:
Based on an Open Call with 27 applications we have selected 6 Danish works for the international programme at CPH STAGE 2019. We have prioritized 5 ready-made shows and 1 site specific open formate by outstanding artists.
The 6 selected works bring a particularly physical experience to it’s audiences – within it’s genre. We have acknowledged both brand new works as well as older shows who have been shaped in the meetings with many different audiences – both national and international. All of these works circles around the body as the primary tool of expression – in the danse, in the physical theatre and in the body of the audiences. The span includes a technological experience with virtual bodies to the bodies own poetic sensations.
Please note: The International programme will be publiced medio February.
