About CPH STAGE
CPH STAGE IS AN OPEN THEATRE FESTIVAL FOCUSING ON DANISH PERFORMING ARTS: WHERE IT’S AT AND WHERE IT’S HEADING!
On June 2nd – June 11th 2022 CPH STAGE presented its 9th festival with a wide reaching festival programme ranging from performances at The Royal Danish Theatre to the newest undiscovered upcoming groups. CPH STAGE is the biggest theatre festival in Copenhagen. The festival presents both Danish and international performing arts. It is a high priority at CPH STAGE to make the festival accessible to an international audience. By presenting non-verbal performances, performances in English, translating performances, subtitling them and inviting international theatre groups to play at the festival, CPH STAGE is inviting non-Danish speakers as well as Danish speaking audiences to attend this unique festival.
In 2022 the festival took place from June 2nd – June 11th. During CPH STAGE 2021 we presented more than performances and events at venues all over Copenhagen. More than 30 shows were accessible to non-Danish speakers.
CPH STAGE facilitates an International Visitor’s Programme for professional presenters, producers and press during the international days in order to give an insight and connection into Danish Performing Arts.
This work is part of the festivals vision on bringing new trends to Denmark and develop Danish performing arts for a fertile exchange across borders. Read more about the festival’s vision and international mission here.
