International premieres at CPH STAGE

This year we are happy to present a wide range of international performances, that play for the very first time in Denmark at CPH STAGE festival! Experience, among those, four intense performances, which in different ways investigate the world and time we live in

In SIGURD THE CRUSADER, Swedish theater’s ‘enfant terrible’,  Anders Carlsson, and the members of the toten-pop band Lovac, investigate the dark side of the civilization – and that which they call ‘the monstrosity of normality’.  A performance where evil is hidden behind smiles, while dark smoke surrounds us.

With the performance BEAT THE DRUM, Verk Produksjoner (NO) attempts to create a contemporary ritual that intensifies the understanding of our interconnectedness.
What do you see around you today, what do you wish to see around you today, and what
are you willing to offer?

In the audience-involving, open-air radio ballet, DANCE OF ALL – MOVEMENT CHOIR, the performance group Ligna (DE) uses dance to free the body from the mechanisms of modern society.

And the spectacular performance MOANA – THE RISING OF THE SEA, from Fiji, takes it’s point of departure in the tangible and scary changes that the population of the Pacific region’s island nations experience and live with everyday.

There are plenty more exciting international theater experiences in store at CPH STAGE! Discover also: THE LEGEND KAFKA , a co-production between the German companies Manus Art and Ballett Kiel,  SAMIR AND YONATAN, by Hani Productions, THERE by the worldwide known Norwegian Jo Strømgren Kompani, RED RABBIT WHITE RABBIT by Nassim Soleimanpour, Teatr Weimar’s performance and video work FIELDS, and the  award winning Actors Touring Company production, BLIND HAMLET.
