Open Call: International Days 2022
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 27.10.21
Showcasing and/or pitching works at the DANISH SHOWCASE at CPH STAGE’s International Days 8. – 10. June 2022
6 Danish works from all genres of the performing arts – live or digital – will be elected by a jury for CPH STAGE’s Danish Showcase. The works will be presented during the festivals International Days 8. – 10. June 2022. These works will receive special promotion and get the opportunity to be seen by international guests, members of the Danish industry and English-speaking audiences in Copenhagen. The vision is to support Danish performing arts in becoming visible in the international performing arts arena. The jury will favor applicants whose performances have premiered.
In 2022 we hope to embrace a full on in-person festival with a strong visitors’ programme. However 2-3 of the selected works will be invited to be part of the digital showcasing which will build on the experiences from the previous years. It is a firm ambition to continue to be one of the pioneers within digital showcasing (see the digital showcases 2021 and digital pitch-videos 2021).
CPH STAGE supports the selected performances by offering a subsidize for a maximum of 20,000 DKK (excl. VAT) per project. In case of unique grand work the Jury will be able to grant up to 50.000 dkk (excl. vat). However, the festival does not provide fully financial support to said productions.
It is possible to be selected and receive support from both CPH STAGEs Open Call to ”den nye kuraterede forestillingslinje” for the Danish audiences and the Danish showcase at CPH STAGEs International Days, if both programme committees find it relevant.
Please note that selected works for CPH STAGE’s Danish Showcase 2022 will be launched at a virtual event 4. February 2022.
PITCH opportunity at CPH STAGE 2022
Pitch June 9th 2022: 6-8 works either in stages of pre-production or post-production with premieres in 2021/2022 will be selected by the jury to pitch their project. The pitch will also be produced as a video, which can also be used in your promotion of your work in the future.
To ensure the broadest support for all applicants, productions can only get selected in one category, for either Showcase or Pitch. However we encourage interested applicants to apply for both categories.
