The Attitudes of Ida Brun
- about art, democracy and cake Liveart.dkDescription
“Let them have a slice of the pie”, Marie Antoinette said, but alas, she was tragically misunderstood. The bloody revolution made Friedrich Schiller suggest, that citizens should be prepared for democracy. And art should be the baking tray of the spirit. That is why Denmarks first performance artist, Ida Brun (1792-1857), learned to stand like the classical statues. This performance lecture is about her. And it is about pies, art and democracy. Come! You can have the cake and eat it too!
