Rediscovering the Ritual Mute Comp. Physical Theater

Description

NAGHOL rediscovers the importance of rituals and play with their qualities. It is the name of a recurring ritual in the Pacific island of Pentecost. A manhood test, which consists of a bungee jump ritual from 30 feet with vines tied around the ankles. The inspiration for NAGHOL is found in everything from prayer and funerals, weddings, shamanism, trances, and circumcision and the fascinating by the fact that while we in the North hide chocolate rabbits at Easter they whip themselves with broken glass on the Philippine island Marinduque!

Teaterøen is a minifestival under CPH STAGE with 10 productions in 7 days. Teaterøen offers a performing arts landscape in theatrical spaces at Refhaleøen. BUY A DAY PASS FOR: DKK 75 -150
