CPH STAGE > TEATERØEN
A performance about the author Sylvia Plath’s life and art, based on her diaries, poems, letters and the partly autobiographical novel “the Bell Jar”.
Sylvia Plath fought a heroic struggle to find her own voice, both as an artist and as a human being.
As an artist, she found it in earnest in the months leading up to her suicide in 1963. She was 30 years.
In the show “Sylvia”, we give her voice back and lets her get to grips with both life and death, and all the words and thoughts that peeled in her.
Sylvia Plath had a controversial and ambitious mind, and lived a life side by side with death. She had the courage to provide her own inadequacy through her sourly precise pen.
