The Little Mermaid

A jouney of desire, love and transformation Pernille Rübner-Petersen

A mermaid trades her voice for human legs and staggers into human life in search of the lovely prince and an immortal soul. The price is high. Maybe too high?
This performance is not the Disney version with a happy ending. It is based on the original fairy tale written by H.C. Andersen.
The Mermaid sets out for a quest for love and transformation. She is a powerful heroine driven by ambition and the will to love and transform. She embraces a brutal and cruel destiny. There will be blood. But also mercy. A musical journey in female desire of songs, drama and storytelling. A continuous work-in-progress performance: Vocal: Pernille Rübner-Petersen, piano: Johann Gustav Skov-Hansen
