Playing at CPH STAGE
Guide for international companies to play at CPH STAGE
CPH STAGE is an open festival for professional adult theatre (16 years and up). The festival is not centrally curated, but it is a possibility for theatres and artists to present the season’s best performances, as well as to invite guest performances from like-minded collaborators or others, to perform on their stages. CPH STAGE only curates one international opening show every year – like “The Blind Poet “ by Need Company (BE) and “Riding on a cloud” by Rabih Mroué a.o.
CPH STAGE does not have any funds for paying the participating theatres and companies. This means that the companies and theatres participating are responsible for the practical and economic aspects of their participation.
The next edition of CPH STAGE will take place from 28th of May – 6th of June 2020 and will present Danish, Nordic and other international performances on theatre stages, at alternative venues, and in the public spaces of Copenhagen.
Playing at CPH STAGE
Every year we have some international shows in the programme – especially during the international days. If you want to play at CPH STAGE you need to have a collaboration agreement with a Danish venue.
If you need help to find the right Danish collaborator please contact our International Producer Karen Toftegaard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is no fee for participating in the festival. The income from tickets sales goes directly to the groups and venues.
