Hotel Pro Forma revives the audience and critics success AMDUAT. An oxygen machine from 2021, based on author Harald Voetmann's critically acclaimed poetry novel.
A man lies dying in a Danish hospital while the Egyptian sun god Ra travels 12 hours through the underworld from sunset to sunrise. Hotel Pro Forma thus reopens the gates to ancient Egypt with jackals, ibis birds, scarabs, colourful costumes, newly composed music, ambient soundscapes, video art, lighting and performance staged on a rarely seen 28-metre stage.
AMDUAT. An Oxygen Machine is curated by and presented in collaboration with CPH STAGE.

Look forward to strong theatre in a wide format! A clinical hospital room and a mythical universe of gods. The contrasts are clear in Hotel Pro Forma's Reumert-nominated 'AMDUAT. An Oxygen Machine', which gives the audience an image-saturated, large-scale tale of a very special death journey. The result is a moving sensory bombardment in images and sound. A gripping epic of grief of Kirsten Delholm's dimensions.
