Performing arts from Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Islands - from different angles

Three persons in the performing arts field of Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Islands will give their perspective on an aspect in the performing arts scenes in these countries. We will hear about what these three people views as important in the current movements.

Marie-Lydie Melona Nokouda is an African Danish actress who is also the founder and artistic director of BLACK TO NORMAL. This is an artistic platform dedicated to nourish and promote hidden talents within drama and acting amongst people of color. Marie-Lydie engages in several current discussions about diversity in the performing arts scene in Denmark.

Sirí Paulsen (cand.mag. in Theatre & Performance Studies, Copenhagen University) works in the spectrum between historical research and the performative. She's interested in alternative narratives to canonized histories. Siri has won 5 sound design awards and one for directing in the US, and her audio walk “Nuuk Art Walk” is #2 Lonely Planet’s “Top 5 things to do in Nuuk”.

Marita S. Dalsgaard is a Faroese actress and the chairperson for Listafólkasamband Føroya, LISA, (National Faroese Arts Council). She is the co-founder of the theater group Leikhús Skift, which she founded and runs with her husband, Olaf Johannessen.
