Danish Dance Theatre’s performances are fearless, uncompromising, and deeply rooted in the present moment—works that dare to mirror the world we live in with a striking vulnerability.
Adam Linder is known for his innovative and interdisciplinary approach to dance. "DRIP TEKHNE" is a speculation on evolution which charts the process of how our bodies become technical vessels for dance.
"BEFORE THE END" is directed by internationally acclaimed Chilean artist Marco Layera. Through an expressive physical language and an abundance of masks and costumes, a world unfolds—inhabited by people who look just like us but who also step beyond the human and become something other.
"BLOODY MOON" is a vibrant and sensual dance performance brimmed with humor. Here, a group dances their final dance while embracing life in all its splendor. It is the first work for the company choreographed by Artistic Director Marina Mascarell.
During the International Days at CPH stage 2026 Danish Dance Theatre is inviting participants for a showing of their work at Takkelloftet, Royal Opera House. More info at the pitch session.

Danish Dance Theatre is Denmark’s national company for contemporary dance, founded in 1981 and home to 10 carefully chosen, full-time dancers from all over the world. From their base at the Royal Danish Opera House, they bring world-class dance to audiences across the country, with a special focus on bold new productions for both children and adults. Their performances are fearless, uncompromising, and deeply rooted in the present moment. Since 1.4.2023, the Spanish choreographer Marina Mascarell has been the company’s Artistic Director.
