Taxi Drivers

"Taxi Drivers" is a road trip through the geography of powerlessness.

There are people who feel that the state has stolen our freedom and turned us into slaves. A state that is no longer able to protect us and our rights.

In "Taxi Drivers", you meet up with three other audiences at a particular address where you are being picked up by a driver. The driver takes you to places in the city that only few have seen. The driver will show you the injustice and the violence and the authorities' lack of response to this obvious unfairness. He will talk about his powerlessness and the feeling of meaninglessness.

He wants to act – clean up the garbage, he just doesn't know how. But maybe it's exactly on this trip with you that he can make a difference - because maybe you feel the same way as him...

About the Company: fix+foxy

fix+foxy has produced original work for two decades – conventional and immersive pieces, sound walks, digital work and other formats depending on the concept. Our practice is driven by curiosity and a desire to create complex narratives through playful and accessible formats. We aim to engage with society and involve audiences while challenging our presumptions about ourselves and the world we live in. We invite people on stage rarely presented or represented in the arts because we believe that theatre is about encounters between people of diverse stands. Whatever we do, however we do it – we always entertain the element of surprise.

TOURING PERSONNEL
The piece will be produced locally with locally casted performer and team. The only traveling part from fix+foxy will be the director/co-director who will take part in casting, location scouting and direct the local version.
