Now we can lift the veil for the first six performances that will play during CPH STAGE 2024, including the opening performance of the festival. You can immerse yourself in spectacular international dance, Arctic activism, inspiring generational meetings, critically acclaimed drama and much more. All the performances are part of CPH STAGE SELECTED, which are a series of performances we believe have something very special to offer. In December, you will even get a 50% discount if you buy tickets for two different performances.
In the programme, you will find two of the festival's international performances, FORTUNA and NORDTING. They both represent global voices that we rarely hear. It is cultural encounters that ask the hard questions, but also show the way with community and empathy as the driving forces.
The festival opens with the exuberant and immersive FORTUNA created by the Dutch company Club Guy & Roni in collaboration with the Indian company Navdhara India Dance Company. Join us as they try to find out what gives life value with dance, live music and Indian colours.
IN NORDTING by Amund Sjølie Sveen you are confronted with some of the really difficult questions regarding Denmark's role in the Arctic. There will be Greenlandic and Faroese music, referendums, speeches and community singing as the political analyses unfold.
CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED PERFORMANCES, DANCE AND GENERATIONAL MEETINGS
If you like dance and performance, you can, among other things, experience ALL THAT REMAINS by Mirko Guido, where dance meets in beautiful interaction with installation art and sound. The show tries to figure out how we can come together in a time of breakup.
In choreographer Fabio Libertis WHAT DID I JUST DO? you will have a pictorial experience at a fast pace as we take a closer look at how our past and memories leave their mark on our bodies.
Among the six performances you will also find several performances portraying the encounters and terms of different generations. Odense Theatre guests, among others, the festival with their critically acclaimed performance MARIA starring Freja Klint Sandberg. A play about a young, pregnant woman who has been abandoned by virtually her entire family. A powerful narrative about the loneliness of young people in a digitized world.
IN OUR STORIES/OQALUTTUAATIGUT of the companies Naleraq Lights and Teater FreezeProductions, we meet the young Greenlandic rapper and the older actor who are trying to understand and reach each other despite generational differences. It's going to be a powerful musical encounter.
Until January 1, we offer a very special December discount, which means that you get a 50% discount if you buy tickets for two different performances. See the full programme here
