CPH STAGE 2026 has come to a close after 10 fantastic days. Thank you to everyone who made their way out across the city – it has been wonderful to see you in the theatres and venues.
This year’s audience programme featured more than 60 performances, including a wide range of international productions from countries such as New Zealand and Iceland. The city’s stages were buzzing with activity, while several performances also invited audiences to experience theatre in more unconventional locations.
We have witnessed everything from dazzling drag shows and intense family dramas to dance performances exploring life’s sorrows and satirical canal tours. Last but not least, we have enjoyed inspiring talks, insightful workshops and great concerts.
CPH STAGE will return from June 3-12, 2027, and we are already looking forward to opening the doors for another festival.

We are CPH Stage
CPH STAGE is the country’s largest theatre festival for professional theatre and takes place every year in late May / early June in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.
Over 10 days, you can experience both the highlights and the breadth of Danish theatre right now, as well as see international touring hits.
CPH STAGE is an opportunity to see both new productions and the shows you didn’t manage to catch this season. At the festival, you can let yourself be surprised and explore new paths in the Danish theatre landscape.In addition to the performances, CPH STAGE offers events, readings, debates, seminars, parties, and much more.
