Join a feminist self-defence workshop, where you will learn practical techniques to defend yourself using strikes, kicks, and your voice.
Instructor Asta-Maja Njor Boisen has taught feminist self-defence for many years – a practice rooted in the women’s movement’s self-organisation and the struggle for bodily autonomy, in line with the ideas behind the book “Woman Know Your Body”.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to feminist self-defence, past and present, as well as the Redstockings’ use of self-defence. This is followed by verbal and physical exercises focused on defending yourself and setting boundaries.
The self-defence workshop is open to everyone, and no specific physical prerequisites are required to participate.
There is no dress code, but you are encouraged to bring a bottle of water.
