Open Call 2024 Emerging Artists & Producers programme
This is an Open Call for Emerging Artists and Producers from Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Islands. You can see the ones who has been selected previous years right here. When you are selected for the programme you can participate two years in a row. The purpose of the programme is to support artists and producers in developing conscious and sustainable ways of working internationally.
CPH STAGE sees diversity as an enrichment and aims to support a performing arts industry of equity, inclusion and diversity.
'We still see the shadows from Covid when working internationally. This especially affects the emerging artists and producers' frame of opportunities. These years we are forming new ways of working internationally and it is important to keep the international windows open for emerging artists and producers. That's why we began this programme in 2022' Karen Toftegaard, Head of International Programming and Production CPH STAGE.

NB: Each selected artist/producer in the EAP programme will receive 1.000dkk that can cover travel- and time expences.
- An intro meeting on 22. January 2024, 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm CET [online].
- Participation in digital launch of the International Days programme 1. February (this is mainly listening in and learning from colleagues when they present and talk about their work in an international context).
- A preparation meeting on 6. May, 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm CET [online].
- Workshop on working internationally 29. May 11.00am – 5.00pm at The Royal Danish Playhouse + check-in meetings during the International Days.
- Free participation in the International Days programme at The Royal Danish Playhouse 30. May - 1. June [9.30 - 13.00 + night from 22.00].
- Free lunch all days.
- Mentor-meeting with - an experienced Danish/International colleague who also participates in CPH STAGEs international days. [30 minutes online before the festival + 45 minutes during the festival] You’ll receive the match no later than 10. May – and we’ll ask you to be the driver in setting up the two meetings.
- Debriefing - debriefing meeting on 17. June 3.00pm - 4.30pm [online].
